The Bluff® steel forklift yard ramp is designed to provide easy forklift or pallet truck access to freight in minutes without requiring dock bays, facilitating the loading and unloading of trucks and trailers in areas without docks, as well as allowing transitions from dock level to ground. Constructed with all-welded, heavy-duty formed steel cross members and side girders, this ramp boasts a robust frame. It features a beveled diamond plate steel approach for smooth transitions and an open serrated steel grating ramp surface that enhances traction while minimizing dirt, rain, and snow accumulation. Equipped with a double-action hydraulic lift pump and 18" diameter solid rubber wheels, the ramp can be quickly moved and raised into position, further secured with safety locking chains that attach it to the dock or trailer. The design includes 8"H curbs to help prevent vehicles from leaving the ramp. The 36'L ramp incorporates a 6'L level-off zone at the top for safe access from dock to ground or truck to ground. Additionally, clamp style ramps come with integral forklift tine insertion points for ease of movement over short distances. Bluff® also offers solid steel deck approach plates at both ends, which provide a smooth transition and enhance the ramp's longevity, unlike competitors' units that may use open grating, potentially leading to structural failures.
