The Interlake Tear Drop Pallet Rack Beams serve as the horizontal components of the pallet rack system designed for the placement of loads. Constructed from a single roll-formed piece of 16 gauge steel, these beams feature welded end plates that slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frames, whether bolted or welded. Each load level is supported by two beams, one at each post of the frame, and is secured with two safety, spring-loaded locking devices per beam. The piston lock frame-to-beam connection automatically seats and locks, preventing accidental displacement. With dimensions of 2-3/4"W x 1-5/8", these Tear Drop step beams can accommodate cross bars and decking and are certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). The slotted profile allows for various accessories to be securely latched onto the beam, with slotted holes positioned at 1" intervals for the installation of wire decks, cross bars, and other components. When selecting a load beam, it is recommended to determine the desired length by adding a minimum of 10" to two pallet widths or 14" to three pallet widths, ensuring that each pair of beams can adequately support the weight of the pallets per level. The beams are sold in pairs.
