This heater is designed to heat and speed the flow of viscous materials, making it ideal for safely and quickly heating or melting a variety of greases, oils, fats, plastics, adhesives, and more. It features a rust-resistant aluminized steel band that conveniently wraps around an all-metal drum or pail, with an easy-on, easy-off spring tension latch to keep the heater surface locked in close contact with the container for fast and efficient temperature-controlled heating. The unit includes a 6-ft power cord with a 3-conductor plug for grounding. The 1920 and 3000 watt models are designed to plug into special Hubbell single outlets, and the heater is not to be used with volatile materials. Faster heating can be achieved by using two or more heaters simultaneously. The thermostat control senses temperature and is pre-set for heat, operating at 120 volts single phase and 17 amps, with three wattage ratings available per thermostat setting (high, medium, low). A neon pilot light indicates when the unit is on. This heater is UL listed and CSA certified.
