This heater is designed to heat and speed the flow of viscous materials such as greases, oils, fats, plastic, and adhesives, providing a safe and efficient method to heat or melt these substances. The kit includes a rust-resistant aluminized steel band that wraps around all-metal drums or pails, secured by an easy-on, easy-off spring tension latch ensuring close contact for fast, temperature-controlled heating. It comes with a 6-ft power cord featuring a 3-conductor plug for grounding. The models available are 1920 and 3000 watts, which plug into special Hubbell single outlets. The unit is equipped with a thermostat that senses and maintains a preset temperature, operates on 120 volts single-phase at 17 amps, and offers three wattage settings (high, medium, low) controlled by the thermostat. A neon pilot light indicates when the heater is on. The product is U.L. listed and C.S.A. certified, and it is not intended for use with volatile materials. Faster heating can be achieved by using two or more heaters simultaneously.
