This heater is designed to heat and speed the flow of viscous materials such as greases, oils, fats, plastic, and adhesives safely and efficiently. It features a rust-resistant aluminized steel band that conveniently wraps around an all-metal drum or pail, secured by an easy-on, easy-off spring tension latch that ensures the heater surface remains in close contact with the container for fast, temperature-controlled heating. The unit includes a 6-ft power cord with a 3-conductor plug for grounding. Available in 1920 and 3000 watt models, these plug into special Hubbell single outlets and are not intended for use with volatile materials, with faster heating achievable by using two or more heaters simultaneously. The thermostat control senses temperature and is pre-set for heat, operating at 240 volts, single phase, 14 amps, with three wattage ratings corresponding to high, medium, and low thermostat settings. A neon pilot light indicates when the unit is on. This heater is U.L. listed and C.S.A. certified.
