The 3M™ AccuGlide™ 2+ stainless steel upper/lower taping head features a low-impact curvilinear design that minimizes force while sealing cases, ensuring protection for both lightweight cartons and contents. Constructed from stainless steel, the taping head offers corrosion resistance suitable for high-moisture environments and is engineered for durability, low maintenance, and consistent tape application. It applies tape widths of 1.5-2" (36-48mm) at conveyor speeds of up to 78 feet per minute. Key features include a low profile side plate and an open tape path for fast, easy threading, as well as a friction brake drum that maintains proper tape tension to prevent overcoasting. The design incorporates flexible buffing and applying rollers that easily compensate for case variation and can be removed effortlessly. The tape drum latch ensures stability and positive tape alignment, enhancing the performance and lifespan of the taping head, which is specifically designed for use in 3M-Matic™ adjustable stainless steel cases.
