The Makita® XCU07PT 18V X2 (36V) LXT® 14" cordless brushless chain saw kit includes two 5.0Ah lithium-ion batteries and is designed to meet the growing demand for cordless alternatives to gas-powered outdoor equipment among landscapers and contractors. This model features a zero-emission design, significantly lower noise levels, and minimal maintenance requirements, eliminating the need for engine oil changes, spark plug replacements, and air filter or muffler cleanings. The saw is powered by two 18V LXT® batteries, delivering a powerful 36V runtime while maintaining compatibility with the 18V battery platform. It incorporates an efficient Makita® outer rotor brushless motor with a direct drive system, capable of achieving speeds of 0-3,940 feet per minute, equivalent to gas-powered chain saws. The 14" guide bar is complemented by convenience features such as captured bar nuts, lateral chain tensioning, a front hand guard that actuates the chain brake, and a built-on lock lever to prevent accidental chain engagement. This chain saw is part of Makita's expanding 18V lithium-ion system, which is the largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Additionally, Makita® lithium-ion batteries are known for their rapid charge times, allowing for more operation time.
