The maple butcher-block bench top is kiln dried, electronically glued, cured, and sanded smooth, finished with a penetrating mineral oil protectant that is NSF-approved. The bench top requires oiling on all surfaces every 1-2 weeks depending on use or conditions for maintenance. Users can request the NSF logo to be applied to the underside of the countertop. For work surface cleaning, mild household cleaners such as soap and water solutions, Windex, and Lysol are recommended, while aggressive chemicals like ammonia and solvents should be avoided as they may cause permanent damage to the finish. All dimensions are typical with a general tolerance of +/- 1/8", and width, depth, and thickness may vary slightly. When purchasing multiple units, an exact match in wood grain or color shade cannot be guaranteed.
