The maple butcher-block bench top is kiln dried, electronically glued, then cured and sanded smooth, finished with a penetrating mineral oil protectant. The bench top is designed as an all-purpose work surface and requires oiling on all surfaces every 1-2 weeks depending on use or conditions to maintain its quality. For cleaning, mild household cleaners such as soap and water solutions, Windex, and Lysol are recommended, while aggressive chemicals like ammonia and solvents should be avoided to prevent permanent damage to the finish. All dimensions are typical with a general tolerance of +/- 1/8 inch, and width, depth, and/or thickness may vary slightly; when purchasing multiple pieces, exact matches in wood grain or color shade cannot be guaranteed.
