The steel wheel riser, also known as a wheel ramp, is designed to allow trucks and semi-trailers to be positioned properly above docks for more efficient loading. This loading dock wheel riser keeps tractor trailers level at loading docks, which helps eliminate safety hazards associated with uneven dock ramps. The riser is engineered to comply with OSHA requirements for a maximum grade of 10% for ascending or descending loaded forklifts. Constructed from all-welded steel, the wheel ramp features a non-skid diamond treadplate surface to enhance safety. It includes built-in 7" W x 2" H fork pockets for easy portability with a forklift, adding 15" to the overall width of each riser. The durable brown enamel finish contributes to its longevity. Each individual riser has a capacity of 20,000 lbs (40,000 lbs. per pair). Note that dual wheels on semi-trailers are typically 18" wide, so the risers, measuring 24" wide, are ideal for this application.
