The SUV tailgate salt spreader is designed for light commercial use and easily attaches to the receiver hitch of an SUV. It features a "fold-away" design, allowing for easy access to the rear door or tailgate by simply releasing the hitch pin. Constructed with a rugged black thermoplastic hopper and an orange powder-coated steel frame, this spreader is built for durability. Its ultra-smooth hopper interior ensures that the material flows effectively to the hopper throat and 9" poly spinner, delivering an even spread of material without the need for expensive auger add-ons or vibration kits. This gravity feed salt spreader can accommodate #1 rock salt or similar free-flowing materials and is suitable for residential or corporate parking lots. It is equipped with a heavy-duty 1/3 HP 12V sealed spread motor featuring internal auger assist, providing a spread range from 3' to 30' via an in-cab variable speed controller. The product includes a direct-to-battery wiring harness and all necessary mounting hardware for 2" class IV receiver hitches. It is non-returnable and comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
