The versatile hopper is designed for handling heavy, bulky scrap and is suitable for moving castings, wood and metal chips, recyclables, and sludge. This rugged, fully welded hopper is precisely balanced to tip forward for complete discharge of contents and automatically return to the upright position when empty. It features a positive locking latch to help prevent accidental dumping and a watertight interior for use with wet or dry loads. The hopper has 2-inch formed top lips that increase rigidity and eliminate sharp edges, while extra-deep fork openings allow for easy forklift entry. It includes a safety chain to ensure the hopper is secured to the forklift and interlocking guides that permit empty units up to 2 cubic yards to be stacked up to three high for space savings (do not stack when loaded). The unit is finished with a durable enamel coating and ships assembled. Note that OSHA requires contacting the manufacturer of your fork truck for written approval before using any fork truck attachments.
