The versatile hopper is designed for handling heavy, bulky scrap such as castings, wood and metal chips, recyclables, and sludge. This rugged, fully welded unit is precisely balanced to tip forward for complete discharge of contents and automatically return to the upright position when empty, featuring a positive locking latch to prevent accidental dumping. It has a watertight interior suitable for wet or dry loads, with 2-inch formed top lips that increase rigidity and eliminate sharp edges. Extra-deep fork openings facilitate easy forklift entry, and a safety chain ensures the hopper is securely attached to the forklift. Interlocking guides allow empty units up to 2 cubic yards to be stacked three high for space savings, although stacking is not recommended when loaded. The hopper has a durable enamel finish and ships assembled. Note that OSHA requires contacting the manufacturer of your fork truck for written approval before using any fork truck attachments.
