Wesco® forklift fork extensions are heavy-duty welded steel constructs designed for strength and durability, sold in pairs. The kit includes steel restraining straps that prevent the extensions from sliding off the forks. These extensions can be utilized with lift truck forks that have a maximum thickness of 2 inches. Compliance with OSHA standards is essential, as they mandate seeking written approval from the manufacturer of the forklift before using any attachments, and the length of the fork extensions must not exceed 50% of the lift truck fork length (for example, extensions used on 48-inch lift truck forks should not surpass 72 inches). It is also critical to note that the use of these extensions impacts lift truck capacity, hence a consultation with the lift truck manufacturer regarding load capacity reductions is advisable.
