Wesco® forklift fork extensions - pair is constructed of heavy-duty welded steel, ensuring strength and durability. Each pair includes a steel restraining strap designed to prevent the extensions from sliding off the forks during use. These extensions are compatible with lift truck forks that have a maximum thickness of 2 inches. It is important to note that OSHA mandates obtaining written approval from the forklift manufacturer prior to using any forklift attachment. Additionally, OSHA standards stipulate that the length of fork extensions should not exceed the lift truck fork length by more than 50%; for example, if using 48-inch lift truck forks, the extensions should not exceed 72 inches. Furthermore, the use of fork extensions will affect the lift truck's capacity, and it is advisable to consult the lift truck manufacturer for information regarding load capacity reductions.
