Wesco® forklift fork extensions are designed as a pair and constructed from heavy-duty welded steel, ensuring robust strength and durability. Each extension includes a steel restraining strap that prevents sliding off the forklift forks and is compatible with lift truck fork thicknesses of up to 2 inches. It is essential to note that OSHA regulations necessitate contacting the manufacturer of the forklift for written approval prior to using any forklift attachment. Additionally, OSHA standards dictate that the length of the fork extensions must not exceed 50% of the lift truck fork length (for example, extensions used on 48-inch lift truck forks should not exceed 72 inches). It is important to recognize that the use of extensions will impact lift truck capacity, so it is advisable to consult the lift truck manufacturer regarding load capacity reductions.
