Wesco® forklift fork extensions are a pair of heavy-duty welded steel extenders designed for strength and durability. They feature a steel restraining strap that prevents the extensions from sliding off the forks, ensuring safety during operation. The extensions can be utilized with a maximum lift truck fork thickness of 2 inches. It is important to note that OSHA requires obtaining written approval from the manufacturer of your forklift for the use of any forklift attachment. Additionally, OSHA standards stipulate that the length of fork extensions must not exceed the lift truck fork length by more than 50% (for instance, fork extensions used on 48-inch lift truck forks should not exceed 72 inches). The use of extensions will also affect the lift truck's capacity, so it is advisable to contact the lift truck manufacturer for information regarding load capacity reductions.
