Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The machines feature precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure quality cuts, while the large diameter chrome quill and high precision Class 7 spindle bearings enhance performance. The chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support, internally cooled spindle head, and heavy-duty spindle motor drive contribute to their reliability. The sleek satin chrome finished dials and heavy-duty spindle brake facilitate ease of use, and the machines are equipped with locks on all movable surfaces. They also have precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and a built-in internal coolant tank for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). Other key features include a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, and a draw bar. Each kit includes a toolbox with tools and a tolerance test sheet.
