The JET JTM-1050 milling machine features Meehanite castings and a heavy-duty hardened and ground 10 x 50 table. It is equipped with high precision Class 7 precision bearings supporting the spindle, ensuring quality cuts through precision bored and honed milling heads. The machine includes chrome lead screws on the X and Y axis, Turcite B on the X and Y axis, and a satin chrome finish on the dials. The large diameter quill is chromed, and the spindle head is internally cooled. It operates through a heavy-duty motor drive with a chrome plated motor shaft supported at the end by bearings, and features a one-piece quill pinion and shaft. Its three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop promotes ease of use, while the heavy-duty spindle brake and locks on all movable surfaces enhance safety. The JET JTM-1050 is constructed with hardened and ground square vertical knee ways and cross ways, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the base, although a coolant pump is not included.
