Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The kit includes precision bored and honed milling heads, a large diameter chromed quill, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, and a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support. The spindle head is internally cooled, featuring a heavy duty splined motor drive, a one piece quill pinion and shaft, and a three stage power downfeed with automatic stop, making the machines user-friendly. Additional features include a heavy duty spindle brake, locks on all movable surfaces, precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). A tolerance test sheet is included in the package, along with a one shot lubrication system, way covers, draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. The Jet JTM-4VS series mills are available in single or three phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
