Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. This milling machine features Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box that houses an E-stop bringing all controls to the operator's fingertips, and an innovative machine base design that simplifies leveling. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable time intervals, while a heavy-duty spindle brake adds safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back of the mill includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. It is CSA/CUS certified and features Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, an internally cooled spindle head for extended bearing, belt, and motor life, and hardened table and ways ground to 54 HRC for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smoother movements. Additional components include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Acu-Rite 200S, power feed on the X-axis, spindle taper of R-8, table size of 10" x 50", quill diameter of 3-3/8", variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, quill down feed rates of .0015 - .003 - .006 inches per revolution, and a spindle travel of 5 inches.
