The machine features a Jet-designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention. It includes a swing away control box with an emergency stop function, providing easy access to all controls for the operator. The innovative machine base design allows for leveling the machine without lifting it off the floor. An automatic oiler dispenses 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, and a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box is located at the back of the mill and includes two 115V outlets for powering accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and features Class 7 spindle bearings that ensure maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications. The spindle head is internally cooled, promoting longer life for bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened to 54 HRC and precision ground for enhanced accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to minimize vibration and provide smooth movements. Other features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox including tools.
