Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The machines feature a precision bored and honed milling head, a large diameter quill that is chromed, and high precision class 7 spindle bearings. The chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support, along with an internally cooled spindle head and heavy duty spindle motor drive, enhance performance. The one piece quill pinion and shaft, combined with a three-stage power downfeed that includes an automatic stop, ensure ease of use. Additional features include a heavy duty spindle brake, locks on all movable surfaces, precision hardened and ground ways and table, and adjustable gibs throughout. An internal coolant tank is built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included), and a tolerance test sheet is included. The machine also offers a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. The Jet JTM-4VS series mills are available in single or three phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
