Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The machines feature precision bored and honed milling heads for quality cuts, along with a large diameter chromed quill and high precision Class 7 spindle bearings. The spindle head is internally cooled, supported by a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support, and is driven by a heavy-duty spindle motor. The design includes a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, a heavy-duty spindle brake, and locks on all movable surfaces. The three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop ensures ease of use, while precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base add to the machine's functionality (coolant pump not included). The kit includes a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. The Jet JTM-4VS series mills are available in both single and three-phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
