The Johnson Horizontal Bandsaw Utility is a medium-duty saw designed for enhanced performance and durability. It features accurate cutting capabilities through a vibration-free cast/machined table bed, a heavy steel base, horizontally mounted guide arms, and adjustable blade guides and rollers. The rugged gear box consists of bronze and steel gears, enabling a fast-changed, four-speed V-belt drive. Operator safety is prioritized with CE-approved low voltage safety reset, thermal overload protection, auto shut off, blade guards, and safety interlocks. Hydraulic control allows for variable feeding rates and the ability to lock the head at any height. The quick release vise with hand wheel action facilitates fast changes of material sizes, while convenience features include a chip brush blade cleaner, storage in the base, and easily rolling wheels. It is capable of wet/dry cutting with an integrated coolant pump system and ensures simple operation with clearly marked controls. The kit includes a recirculating coolant system, low voltage controls with thermal overload, a sturdy steel base with wheels, and a vertical cutting table (model SE712 only).
