The assortment of 6" wide by 12" long sheets includes one each of the following thicknesses: 0.001", 0.002", 0.003", 0.004", 0.005", 0.007", 0.010", 0.012", 0.015", 0.020", 0.025", and 0.031". The Precision Brand 316 stainless steel shim is made from a soft (annealed) temper material, which offers enhanced corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts, acids, and marine atmospheres due to the addition of 2.0 to 3.0% molybdenum. The fabrication characteristics of Type 316 are comparable to those of Type 302 and Type 304, making it widely used in chemical and food processing equipment, as well as in photographic, pharmaceutical, marine, and textile finishing equipment. Additionally, Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to provide Branded® shim, which is fully traceable and identifiable, with thickness, material type, and lot number printed directly on the shim material.
