Laminated stainless steel arbor shims are constructed from annealed type 302 stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance with a composition of 3, type 1, and class 1. These fully laminated shims feature an I.D./O.D. tolerance of +/- 0.008 inches. Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims utilize a pressure and resin/adhesive process to bond metal shims together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" construction. Users can easily remove layers by peeling them away with a pocket knife to achieve the desired thickness, while the bonding adhesive ensures smooth peeling without tearing or ripping of the layers.
