Precision Brand 316 stainless steel shim is made from a soft (annealed) temper material, offering enhanced corrosion resistance due to the addition of 2.0 to 3.0% molybdenum. This type of stainless steel exhibits fabrication characteristics similar to type 302 and type 304. The shim measures 6" wide by 12" long by 0.005" thick, making it suitable for various applications, including chemical and food processing equipment, photographic, pharmaceutical, marine, and textile finishing equipment. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to provide Branded® shim, which is fully traceable and features printed information on thickness, material type, and lot number directly on the shim material.
