Laminated stainless steel arbor shims are constructed from an annealed type 302 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance with a composition of 3, type 1, class 1. The shims are fully laminated and designed for precision use with I.D./O.D. tolerances of +/- 0.010". Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims are produced using a pressure and resin/adhesive bonding process, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item. Users can remove layers by peeling them away with a pocket knife to achieve the desired thickness, and the bonding adhesive ensures a smooth peeling process without tearing or ripping of the layers.
