The Brecknell 6710U Point of Sale Scale, capable of weighing up to 15 lb with a precision of 0.005 lb, is designed for use in cafeterias, convenience stores, delicatessens, restaurants, candy shops, or any location where space is limited. It features an easy installation process and interfaces with most electronic cash registers and POS software through a bi-directional 9 pin RS-232 port and a USB port (USB cable sold separately). The scale includes a "Touchless Tare" electronic mechanism which allows for zeroing the scale by waving a hand, enhancing food handling safety. The scale offers five weighing modes: kg, lb, oz, g, and lb:oz, with an accuracy of 0.01%. Its ABS plastic housing displays 5-1/2 digits in a seven-segment 15mm / 0.58" high LCD with a blue backlight. Key features include quick disconnect check weighing, count weighing, and peak hold capabilities. An optional external remote display and bracket can be purchased separately upon request.
