The 4B+ horizontal mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved exclusively for replacement and/or retrofit installations, while for new installations and renovations, the 4C horizontal mailboxes should be considered as per USPS-STD-4B+ specifications. These mailboxes are ideal for applications in apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings, and residential developments. Constructed entirely of aluminum, they feature a durable powder-coated finish available in aluminum, bronze, gold, and sandstone. The mailboxes are offered with "A" size doors measuring 6-1/2" W x 5-1/4" H and larger "B" size doors measuring 13" W x 5-1/4" H. Units with standard "A" size doors can be configured in widths of 3, 4, or 5 doors and heights of 5, 6, or 7 doors. Units with larger "B" size doors are configured with 2 doors wide and heights of 5, 6, or 7 doors. Each door is equipped with a 5-pin cylinder cam lock, which includes 2 keys. Additionally, one mailbox opening is required for a master postal lock that is installed by the U.S.P.S. and cannot be used for mail distribution. The front-loading door panel swings on a continuous hinge and includes a factory-installed 3/4" W x 1/4" D trim along with a solid rear cover.
