The vertical mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved exclusively for replacement and/or retrofit installations manufactured by Industries to USPS-STD-4B+ specifications, making them ideal for apartments, condominiums, and commercial buildings. Constructed entirely of aluminum, they feature a durable powder-coated finish available in aluminum, brass, bronze, sandstone, and green. The rough opening for recessed mounted vertical mailboxes is 1-1/2" less than the unit's width, 1-1/4" less than the unit's height, and equal to the unit's depth, allowing for secure installation with mounting hardware (not included) through the back or side panels. Each unit includes a fully integrated flanged collar that fits over the rough opening, and the size of each individual compartment is 5-1/2" W x 16-1/4" H x 6-3/4" D. The doors and trim are striated to resist scratching, and each door includes a 5 pin cylinder cam lock accompanied by 2 keys. Mailboxes are available with configurations of 3 to 7 compartments, and Industries is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
