The 4B+ horizontal mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved exclusively for replacement and retrofit installations, and for new installations or renovations, it is recommended to use 4C horizontal mailboxes manufactured to USPS-STD-4B+ specifications. These mailboxes are ideal for apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings, and residential developments, constructed entirely of aluminum and featuring a durable powder-coated finish available in aluminum, bronze, gold, and sandstone. The mailboxes are offered with "A" size doors measuring 6-1/2" W x 5-1/4" H and larger "B" size doors measuring 13" W x 5-1/4" H. Units with standard "A" size doors are available in configurations of 3, 4, or 5 doors wide and 5, 6, or 7 doors high, while units with larger "B" size doors are available in 2 doors wide and 5, 6, or 7 doors high. Each door features a 5 pin cylinder cam lock, accompanied by 2 keys. One mailbox opening is necessary for a master postal lock to be installed by the U.S.P.S., which cannot be utilized for mail distribution. The front loading door panel swings on a continuous hinge and includes a factory-installed 3/4" W x 1/4" D trim and a solid rear cover.
