The 4B+ horizontal mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved exclusively for replacement and/or retrofit installations, catering specifically to new installation and renovations, with replacements to different locations referring to 4C horizontal mailboxes manufactured according to USPS-STD-4B+ specifications. These mailboxes are ideal for use in apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings, and residential developments. Constructed entirely of aluminum, they feature a durable powder-coated finish available in aluminum, bronze, gold, and sandstone. The mailboxes are offered with "A" size doors measuring 6-1/2" W x 5-1/4" H and larger "B" size doors at 13" W x 5-1/4" H. Units with standard "A" size doors come in configurations of 3, 4, or 5 doors wide and 5, 6, or 7 doors high, while units with larger "B" size doors are available in 2 doors wide and 5, 6, or 7 doors high. Each door is equipped with a 5 pin cylinder cam lock, which includes 2 keys. Additionally, one mailbox opening is necessary for a master postal lock that is installed by the U.S.P.S. and cannot be utilized for mail distribution. The front loading door panel is designed to swing on a continuous hinge and includes a factory-installed trim measuring 3/4" W x 1/4" D, as well as a solid rear cover.
