The 4B+ horizontal mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved specifically for replacement and retrofit installations, while new installations or renovations requiring relocation should utilize 4C horizontal mailboxes that comply with USPS-STD-4B+ specifications. These mailboxes are suitable for apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings, and residential developments. Constructed entirely of aluminum, they feature a durable powder-coated finish available in aluminum, bronze, gold, and sandstone. The mailboxes are offered with "A" size doors (6-1/2" W x 5-1/4" H) and larger "B" size doors (13" W x 5-1/4" H). Units with standard "A" size doors can be configured with 3, 4, or 5 doors wide and 5, 6, or 7 doors high, while units with larger "B" size doors are available in 2 doors wide and 5, 6, or 7 doors high. Each door is equipped with a 5 pin cylinder cam lock (including 2 keys), and one mailbox opening is designated for a master postal lock installed by the U.S.P.S., which is not intended for mail distribution. The front-loading door panel operates on a continuous hinge and includes factory-installed 3/4" W x 1/4" D trim along with a solid rear cover.
