The Hoffman A84XM3EW18SSN4 is a heavy-duty stainless steel free-standing enclosure designed specifically to house electronic controls and components, measuring 84.12 x 118.75 x 18.12 inches. It offers protection from noncorrosive or mildly corrosive elements in both indoor and outdoor settings, making it suitable for applications in the food and beverage, packaging, water, petroleum, and chemical processing industries. This enclosure is manufactured from 12 gauge type 304 stainless steel, featuring continuously welded seams that are ground smooth, body stiffeners for extra rigidity, and a body flange trough collar that excludes liquids and contaminants. Additional features include heavy-duty lifting eyes, removable centerposts for easy panel installation, heavy-gauge continuous hinges, and a robust 3-point latching mechanism operated by a type 316L stainless steel PowerGlide padlocking handle on all doors. The design also incorporates rollers on the ends of latch rods for easier door closing, panel supports, a high-impact thermoplastic data pocket, and a seamless foam-in-place gasket for an oil-tight and dust-tight seal against contaminants. The enclosure mounts removable 10 gauge steel panels on collar studs, with the master door being the far right-hand door. It includes a type 316 stainless steel handle with a defeater on the master door, and a non-defeater handle on the slave door. A mechanical interlock activated by the master door prevents the slave doors from being opened first, while the doors can be closed in any order. It features a preferred cutout on the right flange for mounting most disconnect operators, bonding provisions on the doors, grounding studs on the body, and an accessory mounting channel provided in the enclosure top. The enclosure can accommodate small conductive panels (A84PM40G) and large conductive panels (A84PM78G).
