The Oz Lifting Stainless Steel Hand Winch with Brake has a 1000 lb. capacity and is constructed entirely from Type 304 stainless steel, making it suitable for harsh environments where corrosion resistance is essential. Key features include a compact design, ergonomic rubber handle, multiple frame mounting positions, fully enclosed gearing, solid machined gear, and an automatic weatherproof Weston brake. It also features a dual cable anchor point, large diameter drum, high gear ratio, and comes with a test certificate and serial number. Note that wire rope is not included. The performance characteristics vary with wire rope diameter: with 1/8" diameter wire rope, the winch provides a 7 ft. capacity at a 1000 lb. load rating on the first layer, 74 ft. at 750 lb. on the mid drum, and 140 ft. at 500 lb. on the full drum; with 3/16" diameter wire rope, it offers 5 ft. at 1000 lb. on the first layer, 34 ft. at 750 lb. on the mid drum, and 75 ft. at 500 lb. on the full drum. It is important to note that actual drum capacities may be 25-30% less due to non-uniform winding, and wire rope tension can also affect drum capacity.
