The 3M™ AccuGlide™ Taping Head is designed with a curvilinear shape that ensures secure tape application with minimal impact, making it suitable for lightweight cartons and their contents. This unit applies a "C" clip of Scotch® Box Sealing Tape and is capable of sealing center seams at speeds of up to 40 cases per minute. It is engineered to work with 2-3" tape at a case speed of 100 ft/min when integrated with 3M-Matic™ Case Sealers. The taping process involves placing a regular slotted container on the conveyor, which is then transported to the 3M™ AccuGlide™ 3 Taping Head that applies Scotch® pressure-sensitive film box sealing tape from the leading to the trailing end of the box, automatically cutting the tape as it seals. The Taping Head typically operates in pairs for simultaneous sealing of the top and bottom seams, and it can also be configured to seal cases lying on their side. The 3M-Matic™ machines necessary for this operation are sold separately, and the Taping Head is compatible with Global # 423077, 422863, and 422868.
