The 3M™ AccuGlide™ Taping Head features a curvilinear design that applies tape securely with low impact, helping to protect even lightweight cartons and contents. It is designed to apply a "C" clip of the Scotch® box sealing tape, sealing center seams at speeds of up to 40 cases per minute. The unit applies 2-3 inch tape at a case speed of 100 ft/min when mounted to 3M-Matic™ case sealers, which include models 800RF, 800AF, 800A, 800R, 700A, 700R, 200A, and 800AB. The taping process involves a regular slotted container being placed on the conveyor and pushed onto the drive belts of a 3M-Matic™ case sealer, which convey the box into the 3M™ AccuGlide™ 3 Taping Head. The taping head applies Scotch® pressure sensitive film box sealing tape at the leading end of the box and continues along the center seam to the trailing end, cutting the tape as it is applied. The taping heads typically function in pairs to tape two seams of a case and can be configured for sealing cases lying on their side. The 3M-Matic™ machines are sold separately, and the taping head is compatible with global products #423077, 422868, and 422863.
