Ors tapered roller bearings are separable, featuring a cone (inner ring) with roller and cage assembly and a cup (outer ring), allowing for individual assembly and availability as matched cup and cone sets. Constructed from AISI 52100 grade steel and heat-stabilized to 300°F, these bearings are designed to optimize line contact between rollers and raceways, enabling the bearing to handle significant radial and axial loads. However, they can only support axial loads in one direction, which necessitates the use of a second laterally reversed bearing for loads in the opposite direction (either in a "back-to-back" or "face-to-face" arrangement). The pressed steel cage effectively separates the rollers, promoting reduced wear and minimal heat generation. These bearings are commonly utilized in heavy-duty industries such as mining, agriculture, construction, automotive axles, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
