This belt excels in wide belt sanding, edge sanding, and portable belt sanding. Featuring fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cotton cloth backing, it offers continuous cut performance and long life. The open coat and load-resistant coating are particularly effective for sanding soft woods, while the washable backing is advantageous in high production environments where belts require cleaning to remove resin or pitch buildup. Known for its cut-rate, durability, and longevity, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in both woodworking and metalworking, including on ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are securely attached to the cloth backing with resin, providing a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.
