The 3M™ 341D cloth band measures 3/4" in diameter and 1-1/2" in width with an 80 grit aluminum oxide composition, designed for metal fabrication industries. It is ideal for applications such as blending corners, contour finishing, deburring, grinding, polishing, and polishing internal diameters in metal fabrication. This abrasive cloth band, in the form of a spiral band or short tube, conforms effectively to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, which ensures a continuous cut and long-life performance. The versatile cloth band is suitable for grinding to remove parting lines or seams, imperfections, and burrs, and can also be utilized for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It is designed to fit onto rubber wheel attachments like a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel, which are sold separately, for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide, this band is favored by industrial professionals for its rapid cut-rate, durability, and longevity. It can be used across a diverse range of materials, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive.
