3M™ 341D cloth band measures 1/2" in diameter and 1" in width, featuring an 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, specifically designed for industries such as metal fabrication. The band is ideal for applications including blending corners, contour finishing, deburring, and polishing internal diameters. This abrasive cloth band is a spiral band or short tube that conforms to both inner and outer contours for effective sanding and shaping. It consists of fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, ensuring a fast continuous cut and long-life performance. The versatile product is capable of grinding to remove parting lines, seams, and imperfections, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D fits onto rubber wheel attachments, such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (both sold separately), and can be used with a die grinder or rotary drill. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it is recognized for its fast cut-rate and durability, suitable for a variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are securely adhered to the cloth backing with resin, providing a strong bond that can withstand high heat and pressure.
