The Nerp Dual Speed Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, providing exceptional load control and field adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, as well as a grade 80 nickel plated load chain. The variable frequency drive enables speed adjustability and includes integral hour counting functionality, recording and displaying the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. Additional specifications comprise a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake operation, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming factory load testing to 125% of rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
