The NERP series of electric chain hoists from Harrington were designed using the latest technology and incorporating a push/pull trolley, resulting in high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that provide reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The hoists also feature a 5 pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Additionally, all hoists come with a test certificate verifying that the hoist has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
