The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington were designed using the latest technology and incorporating a push/pull trolley. These high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which is a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. Additionally, they feature a cooler motor and brake attributed to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
