The NERP Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley with an under the cover variable frequency drive, providing excellent load control and field-adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features of the hoist include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized. The hoists are equipped with grade 80 nickel-plated load chains, a variable frequency drive for speed adjustability, and an integral hour counter functionality that records the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. Additionally, the design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in accordance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
