The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed using advanced technology, resulting in high quality, low headroom, and full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine tasks and severe working environments. This series includes several key features: "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized; a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain; and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, as well as a fan-cooled motor that provides a cooler motor and brake. Additionally, the hoists feature low profile upper and lower limit switches, along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, constructed to be environmentally friendly while meeting RoHS requirements, and they exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
