The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that ensure reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized; a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain; a count hour meter that tracks and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist running time; a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life; and a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor. Additionally, the hoists are equipped with low-profile upper and lower limit switches, along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, compliant with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
