The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features an under-the-cover variable frequency drive that offers exceptional load control and field-adjustable speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, alongside a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and comes with integral hour counting functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operational time. Additionally, the hoists feature a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
